Avoiding the Nightmare on Elm Street

This talk is about making technology choices. And why mainstream may not always be the right answer.

We are building a Log Aggregator that will change the world - Humio. We needed a LOT of data to be display in a web UI for streaming results from big data queries at Real Time.

It was a green field project and we could go with any tech we wanted, we chose Elm. Today we are one of the World's biggest production systems that use the Elm language.
